On Saturday (May 27, 2023), on the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Protection of the Holy Virgin Memorial Church at Stonehurst 99.
“I am with you, and no one can be against you,” says the Lord to everyone who believes in Him. No sorrows, no temptation, not even the most terrifying catastrophes should break the believer whose faith unites him in spirit with Christ.

Throughout the Orthodox world there is a lot love and veneration for St. Nicholas. There are thousands of churches and side-altars dedicated to him, where people turn to him for help for various needs: before travelling, before making an important purchase, for family happiness. St. Nicholas has always speedily answered the prayers of those in need. Prayers are calling him a “wonder-worker” and a “God-pleaser” because he so pleased God, and a wonder-worker because God gave him the grace and blessing to work miracles. Therefore, let us live in hope of God’s mercy, through the prayers of the great God-pleaser and wonder-worker St. Nicholas.
